Pre-launch document. This policy is written in good faith for Coolhaven's demand-validation phase and will be reviewed by a qualified UK solicitor before commercial launch. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and we'll answer plainly.

1. Who we are and what this service is

Coolhaven ("we", "us") operates this website to let UK customers register interest in, and reserve refundable priority access to, air-conditioning products and services — portable unit delivery, professional installation, rental, urgent cooling and business solutions.

Coolhaven is currently in a pre-launch, demand-validation phase. A priority reservation is not a purchase of goods, not a contract for installation, and not a guarantee of delivery, timescale, price or availability. We say this prominently across the site because it is the honest position.

2. The £10 priority reservation

  • The reservation fee is £10.00 (GBP), taken once, processed by Stripe.
  • It secures a place in the priority queue for your postcode area and chosen service category, ahead of free interest registrations.
  • It is fully refundable at any time on request — see the Refunds policy.
  • If you later purchase from us, the £10 is credited in full against that purchase.
  • When we confirm stock, final pricing and coverage for your area, we will invite you to make a real order. Only at that point does any contract of sale arise, on terms (including delivery, cancellation and warranty terms) presented to you then.

3. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and, for distance contracts, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Since the reservation is refundable at any time without conditions, your practical cancellation rights exceed the 14-day statutory minimum.

4. Accounts

Accounts use passwordless email sign-in. You're responsible for keeping access to your email inbox secure. We may suspend accounts used abusively (fraud, scraping, harassment of staff or partners).

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the site: no automated scraping of personal data, no attempts to breach security, no fraudulent reservations, no unlawful content in free-text fields.

6. Estimates and information

Cooling-capacity (BTU/kW) figures produced by our tools are preliminary estimates for typical UK rooms, not a professional heat-load survey, and are labelled as such. Guide prices reflect the UK market at the time of writing and are not offers. Final specifications and prices are confirmed in writing before any purchase.

7. Installer partners

Installation work is performed by independent partner businesses vetted for F-Gas certification and insurance. Where you contract with a partner for installation, the contractual terms for that work will be set out at quotation stage.

8. Liability

We don't exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Otherwise, our total liability arising from the reservation service is limited to the amount you paid us (£10). We are not liable for losses caused by heat events themselves — please treat heat-health emergencies as medical matters (NHS 111/999).

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified to registered users by email. The version on this page applies.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales (or your local UK courts where you have the right to bring proceedings there).
